Aquaria KLCC & American Carousel Ride

We finally had a chance to have some quality time with the kids and the celebration started on Saturday where we just brought them to IOI Mall Puchong for dinner at Kenny Rogers and enjoy the American Carousel Ride.
American Carousel Ride..reminds me of tapak pesta di Alor Star back in the 80's
They were so excited waiting for their turn..Hadif was sort of dancing while looking at those shiny horses and the bright lights..the tickets for both of them are RM2 and we both accompanied them and we managed to get a seat for Hadif since he's still too small...and as expected he refused to just sit there while kakak had a more exciting chance...

Abah in action with his Nikon D90..still exploring his new toy which he already invested quite an amount on that...

The fun continue on Sunday with a trip to Aquaria KLCC..that was the first time for me and the kids but the second for hubby who first went there for safety inspection on those 'walkalator'.

This is a big aquarium with big fish and its quite a view..so serene..there are few benches for us to just sit and enjoy the view..but some prefer to just sit on the floor

The fish tank ..situated next to the staircase leading to aquarium hall..this is where they have sound effect of rainforest..complete with thunder and all that made Sufiya keep on telling me that she's afraid of that sound until today....poor child...

A nice little turtle in a tank...they should be in Redang or Perhentian, in their best habitat...

Few species of butterflies..I wish that they have more than just what are available now..
for the price that we paid (RM28 /adult ) and free for children below 3 yrs old..I expect to see more than just this...
The fun for the kids continue at Isetan Klcc at Children's corner (I think it is sponsored by Avent) where both of them met new friends..

my handsome boy with Ben 10 sunglass... gaya mesti ada even though bekas campak tak hilang lagi..hehehe

Hadif with his new friend...

Sufiya with her Lego..kiasu..tak nak bagi sapa pun tolong...
We actually spoiled with more games, KFC and the day ended with strawberry ice cream as reqested by the big sister...it was tiring but they got what they deserved...
p/s Sufiya actually dragged us all to Swatch and eyeing a pink watch..and crying and asking for that pink thingy...its RM140...hello miss Rapunzel...we are not from Trump clan or the Hiltons...

Bitter Sweet Symphony

Our life is like a symphony...an ensemble that can either make you feel melodramatic or make you want to jump up and scream out loud...

I believe that life is not like what you want it to be, sometimes the best thing come with a price, a price that can't be measured. Maybe what we want badly is not what we deserved, not just yet...

The time will come for me to celebrate the success but that does not mean that its a mourning period now..life goes on no matter what happen.

Part 3 exam is just a big hurdle that if we managed to pass thru, a big reward will be waiting for us, but as usual a big precious gift can't simply be rewarded without any challenges...

Deep down inside I thought that I could pass at least paper 1, I'm sure that I had answered according to the format, included all the relevant clauses, Act, section and everything..and calculated the fees and figures as per required and understood...

Anyway I've started flipping Sundra Rajoo's book on Pam Contract to set the mood and warm up the engine..eight months to go for the second time..

But you know what ..? the worst part is not the result...!! but the waiting game...its #%^*n* terrible...until today I have not received that b*o$^y letter..the Board said that they'll send a copy of my result together with my renewal form..and guess what, the form arrived safely in my postbox....and there is no sign of the result at all.....it sucks big time...why is it so hard to get the result..

At first I thought that the Pos Malaysia is the culprit and now I think I'm the one who need to send a letter to them...

To some people that letter might not be important coz it wont come with a good news, but for those who sit for that 6 hours exam, sacrificed their kids and family, money and work..that letter is damn important..yes there'll be Kertas 1:Gagal, Kertas 2:Gagal..but what the heck..we paid RM400 just to sit for that exam, RM 50 annually for membership..countless amount for classes and other expenses for that purpose...only those who've been there and done it will understand...

'Making your mark on the worls is hard. If it were easy, everybody would do it. But its not. It takes patience, it takes commitment, and it comes with plenty of failure along the way. The real test is not to whether you avoid this failure, because you won't .Its whether you let it harden or shame you into inaction, or whether you learn from it; whether you choose to persevere'

IBS System

Got few hours to go for the last session of PTK today..group presentation on IBS System..too technical but I'm not interested with the topics -SPK and 5S...I even don't have a clue about 5S until I came here... ;-P

I like the topic coz its something that I could 'feel', and have a clue..but the topic is broad and 'tengah panas'..will be expecting lotsa question..

And I'm still waiting for my result which the Board of 'Arrogant' Arch will send me a copy of my result...I'll make a complaint about this and about the exam questions and format...even if I failed

Maybe ada hikmah disebalik semua ni.....

PTK ,Part 3 Exam,Pisau Cukur and Preg Test..

I thought that I heard a postman came..but when I checked the postbox..its still the same..no good or bad news..so I'll just wait and wait

Need to put aside those thing and concentrate on this Monday exam..I never thought that this year will be this tight with all these things..lets see: These are the four major things..

  • May - Oral exam - passed

  • July - Written Exam -awaiting for Mr Postman
  • Aug-now -Perpindahan - awaiting JPA's approval - this one causes a lot of damages

  • Nov - preg test -weak positive followed by negative..lost it due to stress and whatever reason

  • Nov- PTK exam

Right after this and no matter what the result is, I'm going to have a much needed vacation..somewhere near like Malacca (again) ..enjoy ikan bakar at Anjung Batu, river cruise, eye on Malaysia..walk around Jonker Street..........and watch Pisau Cukur with my best friend, a girl's outing..watched the trailer and its Bernard Chauly from Gol and Gincu..its gedik-gedik kind of movie..but what the heck..just for the sake of going out and let it all out...

(photo: pisau cukur.com)

Okay got to flip that thick Perintah Am ..hubby is snoring..and the kids are sleeping and Beyonce (on Dream Girls) are watching them...

Pos Malaysia yang dot dot dot

Apa nak jadi dengan Pos Malaysia Putrajaya ni..selalu lambat..surat dari Jalan Sultan Salahuddin,KL dihantar ke Putrajaya pada hari Rabu...hari ni Sabtu..tak sampai - sampai lagi...orang kat Ipoh dah dapat hr Jumaat....Ipoh ke Putrajaya dah berapa puluh km..? tapi kenapa orang Ipoh dapat result dulu, dan orang Putrajaya dok berdebar-debar tunggu mcm menunggu buah yg tak akan jatuh-jatuh.....

Last few months masa tunggu result oral exam pun mcm ni, i was the last one to get the news...

Macam jauh sgt Putrajaya ni..ke tak efficient..?hampeh betul la...tak kira la pas ke fail...menunggu tu yg leceh

Right here waiting...

Its a busy day..with phone calls and message on FB and sms..all about the result that has made us sleepless and miserable...

Most of them has open the white envelope from the Board..and most of the letter came with only one good news and one bad news...two paper to passed after spending 6 hours in that exam hall..after so many sacrifices

I'm still waiting..as always...and as I mentioned in previous post...waiting is my middle name now..everything around me are not tangible yet...so we'll see if the postman come with that 'precious' letter or not...will cry if I fail...? I don't think so..had enough of being emotional...I've done my part, if it means I have to sit for that paper again next year..I'll just do it..just do it..

Hopefully posmen tak lupa jalan ke P14....

No easy path to success...

Sunshine on my shoulder...

'Sunshine on my shoulder, makes me happy'

I've let it all out yesterday..and today its a new beginning, i saw the sun came out from behind the cloud, it shines through me..

Will look at things from different perspective..its 7.05am now

Sufiya just wake up and asking and mumbling about watching Fukuchan...haiii..too much tv la this kid

Okay folks...got to prepare an assignment on IBS ..and prepare for another exam..this year alone I have to sit for three exam..and by next month there'll be another exam, but that will be way different...Oh I might be playing guessing game here, but its too early...

..lets go and find John Denver's Sunshine on my shoulder

Tali bersimpul-simpul

I hate to think about it I got no choice but to think of what I am supposed to face and settle..there are so many things that jumble up now..mcm tali kapal yang bersimpul-simpul ..kena tarik pelan-pelan..jangan bagi terlepas dan tangan tak luka....kapal tak terlepas..tak karam...hanyut pun tak......

At this moment there four major things came to me at one time...

Will sail through ...

Waiting for birocracy to end..

Sometimes in life too much freedom is not what we need all the time, there should be certain boundary or line. Having total freedom for two months in a row and feeling no here nor there is even worst. You are stuck in the middle and sometimes feels like floating, you are not touching the white fluffy clouds and not even the ground.

Maybe this is what they call birocracy, they made decision but they haven't learn through experience, they submitted the bloody documentation but missed out certain important things, they made the mistake and made other people's life miserable.

Its been more than two months like this, just come and go without any purpose...not doing any job, not attending anything..but missing is not the option, that is against the law.

It feels like your right has been denied, you got no purpose going to that place at 8.30am and go back at 5.30pm..its better if I have other choice but that other choice is also depends on the other letter that we have been waiting for three months now...See, I got two letters that will change many things in life, two letters that will give me more option and choice...

The later is not much a problem in terms of waiting,..but the former made me miserable BIG TIME...this is one of the reason I hate joining the g#v...you are depending on many level's decisions and many people's signature to send just one piece of paper.

They said be patient...but they don't know the feeling of not doing anything and not having things that you're supposed to have is like 'melukut di tepi gantang'. (sapa tak paham, pi cari buku peribahasa melayu)

Oh I just wish that all these sad episode will end soon with a happy ending..mcm Shah Rukh Khan kata dlm filem 'Om Shanti Om'..'if its not a happy ending, than its not the end..'

On a lighter note; Sufiya can now baca doa makan on her own..Syukur..thats the start of a happy episode I guess..

Have a nice weekend

Watercolour session

We spent the weekend at home as usual and this time around Hadif got his first chance to play with the colours while abah was busy preparing his assignment. It was 30 minutes session that turn the not only a blank paper into artwrk but also the ceramic tiles became their canvas...

As long as they are happy..I don't mind the mess...

Sufiya's painting with bold and strong stroke, she choosed the colour by herself..luckily I bought her a cheap sable brush from Nanyang Art Supply in Petaling Street coz it is now look like a worn out brush just after few session...

Both of them were expressing their idea..Sufiya tend to focus on one area with strong colour while Hadif played around just dot dot but he managed to utilised the whole paper.

Hadif with his first water colour experience..painting the paper and all over his body and he really had a great time
He just recovered from chicken pox but I haven't put on those lotion..shall wait for few more days....need to plan for this weekend activities since hubby will be in Penang, need to asked for company during his absence due to some 'horrifying experience' last Sunday until I had to called 999..those who read my FB would know the story.....
Hope everything gonna be okay...Insyaallah..

Demam Campak

He is still sleeping and I hope that he could sleep for another one hour..it was a sleepless night..the rashes appearead all over his body now and some on his feet. But luckily he is still an active boy, last year it was Sufiya's turn and today she could simply said '..eiii..muka adik biji-biji'...

I had this experience too during SPM trial exam..and my report card came with zero, zero, zero all over those column where it supposed to be C or B or A...and I had difficulty eating capati after recovery coz I had this wierd imagination of my face equal to a capati..notice the black dot on capati...:-P

Hope Hadif will get it over soon..till then

Update:

Hubby brought home this daun mambu (Azadirachta Indica) for traditional healing..rendam dlm air, dan bagi mandi...

Same goes with this biji ketumbar (coriander seed)

M.A.C Magic,Mirth and Mischief

'Women are always beautiful' - Ville Valo

No matter who we are and where we are at this stage of life, beauty is part of being a women..and sometimes it need so enhancement or some magic with the right tools and colours..

I was at M.A.C latest promotion at Suria Klcc last Wednesday..it was all full of magical colours with bright pink, purple and black all over the floor. All ladies in black equip with brushes and mirror ready to make our day by giving free make over and for one day you can feel the difference between our normal makeup and the one done by the pro.. :-)

Stage makeup with purple eye shadow and sparkling lip gloss..it was all about magic and mirth

Part of the promotion area..even one mamat bangla posed here..hehe

View towards M.A.C make over area..they are having 5 days promo for their latest palette eyeshadow and brushes which come with a cute poach bag..

I love the combination of all these colours..simply stunning

Even the floor looks dreamy with pink and black and red
For further info you can go here
I love the M.A.C Mascara and lipgloss..and their eyeliner which come in a small bottle and we have to use a small brush to apply them..just like a painting :-) Its all about Magic,Mirth and Mischief..
Beauty is expensive tho...

Water colour class for kids

Weekend in this house is always revolves around the three of us since owner of the house is always away for his classes or work, I still find some time to make our weekend meaningful despite screaming in between cooking coz Hadif has started climbing the staircase and will give me a big grin whenever he saw my face...and Sufiya as always still trying to be a big sister and there are times that she act more than a sister, and Hadif have to bear the consequenses..that means more crying for him coz his big sister is so garang...poor little boy.

This is her painting from nursery- crayon on paper..she have a bold and strong stroke compared to her friends..sampai terkeluar gambar...

Sufiya has explored using coloured pencil on A4 paper and drawing paper, so last Saturday I gave her new activity to stimulate her mind and her motor skill...she loves the brush since Barbie-Rapunzel are using the same tools (she watch that movie many many time..and now influenced by all things Rapunzel and pink..)

She did it all by herself..started with lines, circles and dots..and she choosed all the colours for her painting but I supervised on the water mixing...It took more than 30 minutes to create her first piece..while Hadif was busy enjoying his kuih makmor and kuih batang buruk (taste pakcik2 Hadif ni)

Proud painter with her first watercolour painting - 'Abstract'

When using watercolour for kids we need to ensure that the product is safe (refer to the product label) and of coz the brush, which are mostly hog brush, so opted for synthetic brush which gives almost the same effect. They are cheaper that hog brush which some could cost up to RM60 for one piece..I saw one brush made in China, using squirrel hair, for water colour and the brush is so fine but the price is like WTH...RM50++ for one small brush..what an expensive hobby.

At the end the most important thing is she is happy and proud of her painting and started talking about it to everbody..

Dazed and confused

There are many choices in life that are so tempting..but at the end of the day we could only pick one..only one at a time..It is hard to make that choice when you (only you la..) who think that you can do both...

Base on what I did before, they said that I don't suit with what I've been thinking of..'they' are these qualified people in the field who has been supervising me during those tender age when I don't know the meaning of vista, linkages, genuis loci and what not...'they' said that I did not show my interest towards 'this' thing that I know I have the passion.

But 'he' said go for it...coz he know my future plan..he said that 'i know you'....but he is not this field, he never study those urban things...even though he knows what is 'street activities' after spending most of his time at my studio back then...

So confused...maybe I should go fishing...this is what 'they' used to say seven years ago whenever we were stuck with our design philosophy or the idea just won't come out from those messy brain....

Facebook's Socializing Skill

People are moving at different pace now and time for socializing are limited, no more having a chit chat like our mom used to have..asking about gulai ikan semilang or just sharing some juicy gossips while cooking and menyapu halaman.

Everybody just gathered at Facebook nowadays..who does not..? even someone you did not expect to have an account will one day send a request to be your friend, and the next day you'll received cookies, flowers and even hug and kissess...We wish Selamat Hari Raya and send duit raya online, even sharing raya photos...and whatever photos..

I just jumped into the same wagon few months ago to find my classmate from SNC..that was the main intention....and I limit myself to just certain boundary..no Mafia War or Sorority thingy...and I just send one time..cookies as a courtsey reply..and that was it....

I rather drive 15 minutes to ERL Station, parked my car there, wait for 28 minutes coz I missed the train, and ride a transit ERL for another 28 minutes and arrived at KL Sentral..and wait another 5 or 10 minutes before the next train arrived and 15 minutes later I had a good cup of coffee with a friend at KLCC...I mean,... a real coffee and cookies in a real and tangible space and a real friend...not online meeting or conversation...

Maybe I'm not that good at socializing online...I don't send flowers and share thought about their dress, I never join any circle that they are in...what I did was I pressed the ignored or decline button (i didn't remember).. Hey..it's time consuming receiving all those thing, there are too many steps to follow......so I'm out of that circle..

And people can always misunderstood and misinterpret certain things that we write or any photo that we posted there...

When their feeling hurt..they'll send you a 'bitchslap'..ooucchhh...that was kind enough..thank you, at least dare don't there to do it in real life...

I better go now and asked my friend to join me for lunch later..errr...real lunch at a real cafe ya..!

Have fun berMukaBuku..jangan bermuka-muka sudahlah labuuu....

Coretan Aidilfitri: Penang

As long as I remember, family photo during this special day is a must, that was the time where most relative gather and exchanged duit raya, reminiscing stories of the good old days.. And for the other side of family raya this year, I only post these one photo which has been compressed into one..notice that little girl in every photo..?

She reminds me of myself but not at that tender age..I was in primary school and obsessed with camera and always have a strong radar and can sensed where the shot will be taken and I will definitely sit right infront of the camera, or anywhere that I was sure that the camera will captured my face...and I succeeded in making my face appeared 70 % in those photo...and that was the time we used 'KODAK'....any brand was kodak to us..be it Fuji or Konika...

And now with DSLR..Nikon, Canon, Sony..photoshop and what not..anything can be perfect, bulging tummy can be trimmed without any strenous excercise, freckles face be turn into flawless skin with lighter..kalah Fair and Lovely....

Whatever the camera is, with photoshop or not..the moment with the families are precious..and sometimes the best moment can't be captured in photos but they remains in our heart forever.

Coretan Aildilfitri-Kedah

Dua budak perasan cute dengan spek hitam..Hadif bergaya dgn Kakak punya, Sufiya pulak dgn spek abah...just before we left for Aloq Staq...during my time, there was no car, no long journey trip for raya..but riding bas Mara from Aloq Staq to Kuala Sala tengah panaih lit-lit was not an easy ride...spek hitam jangan mimpi la masa tu...

Clear blue sky with pure white fluffy cloud complete the photo..its feels good going back to a kampung..anytime.....

I miss going to our old madrasah for solat Aidilfitri..back then it was so serene on that glorious morning with many familiar and unfamiliar faces, I love going down the spiral concrete staircase and catching up with people that we only met twice a year...and sometime it rain on that Syawal morning and the air was fresh and it was a different kind of feeling seeing drops of water on hibiscus leaves from the garden...

Excited big sister on the first day of Syawal...when I was a kid, the best part of raya was always 'pi kutip duit raya' session, back then it was only dua kupang but there was one generous Arab family who lived nearby who gave us one ringgit..it was really big for us, their house was full of rich colour with lights everywhere, lights that was actually a chandelier...it was a strange sight for us who only knew 'lampu kalimantang' and 'mentol'...that was it, other than that was a strange thing :-P

We had a hard time with Hadif who just want to be with us..taknak berenggang, I just tried my skill in preparing / balut ketupat..baru satu, he started crying and I had to abandoned that first attempt with ketupat palas...looks like the skill could only be sharpened in next few years..makan nasi impit je la...

Masjid Sultan Mizan,Putrajaya

Masjid Sultan Mizan,Putrajaya is a new mosque and a significant landmark in Putrajaya. It's design is workable and practical compared to Masjid Putra which located near to Prime Minister Office.

This new mosque has been design to compliment its surrounding and I think they have studied Masjid Negara as their precedent, the same coolinf effect from infinity pool has been applied here.

The planning and position of this mosque has been derived from adjacent existing building therefore 'Kiblat Walk' has been created, one could appreciate the aesthetic not only internally but also on it's landscape and square with fountain and spacious space for overflow area.

For more photos of this mosque, please visit my flickr, on the right side of this blog--->

(i failed to link directly to my photostream :-(

Generally I think this mosque is more practicle and well design except for some minor issue like this one :-

Escalator leading to prayer hall, quite a number has been provided but safety issue is not considered. As we all know, we are not allowed to wear any shoes inside any mosque due to cleanliness, therefore people will be walking around on their bare foot and how do they expect people to use this escalator when their feet are exposed to this moving object. It looks normal and safe but can you imagine the moment this escalator reach the top floor and the bottom ..eww..

This is not acceptable according to safety code, but I'm not sure how they gonna handle this since everything are in place....'this is Bolehland'..remember..?..everything can one..

Missing glass panel, height : almost 1000mm...risk : tergolek, patah hidung patah kaki, tak boleh sembahyang berdiri...culprit; _________?

Big grand staircase with missing panel, not only one side but both... just imagine budak2 and makcik2 with kain telekung panjang, terpijak kain, nak pegang railing tapi terlepas, nak pegang panel kaca tapi tak dak..terus tergolek-golek jatuh..kalau tergolek takpa lagi..tapi kalau terhumban ke bawah..? I think the management should really take care of this safety issue especially during Solat Tarawikh...
