Something different

Have you ever wondered why the compound that you used to play tuju tin and polis sentri was much bigger than now, and the trees around it are much bigger and shady and the afternoon shadow was different...it appeared and slowly faded like moving backward...

And was the sunset in 1988 was beautiful and prettier than now...

And why 80's songs are much better than contemporary piece..?

I wonder why..?

........

Have you ever feels like you've lost something but you don't know what...there is no excitedment and anxiety...

I hope that I don't lost my mind though...

I-City Shah Alam : Lightscape Tourism ?

(map from i-city website)
Kids have been nagging to see 'pokok lampu' the moment their father informed them of going to I-City..so last Sunday we went to explored the place...Its not that hard to find this place since there many signages leading to I-City in Shah Alam..before that I saw Jakel's building ..ohh what a reminder..I have not prepared anything for the kids yet for Eid Mubarak

From far we could see lights leading to that area and cars were moving slowly towards the parking and we had to pay the entrance fee at RM10 per entry, a guy asked my husband whether he is 'Mr David'...hahaha..David..

I came to this place with a high expectation but the moment I step out of the car I already had a bad impression on from the parking space to the staircase which don't have a railing, flight that are too steep, thread/steps that are slanting backward and we had to struggle with gravity when climbing...

There are no proper facilites for OKU,no ramps and what not, I saw an elderly with walking stick struggling because it was only gravel and sand..

I hope that the management of I-City could upgrade this so called Lightscape Tourism place

LED Technology at I-City Shah Alam

pokok lampu
I expect to see more than just stiff animals and trees..but the kids really enjoy it :-P..and they decided to suka-suka hati jalan pegang tangan tah ke mana-mana...

She only behave after we bought her that pink hairband with light..

Its a Lantern Festival concept with red lanterns ..and this photo end up so red and I had to edit its brightness...

With this all lights..We would like to wish everybody Salam Ramadhan...

Saturday painting

I finally get back on track..kids are eager to paint since last week especially when they saw my Buncho poster colour at the office..

'Every artist dip his brush in his own soul, and paint his own nature into his pictures ' -- Henry Ward Beecher

She always utilised the whole space and choosed the colour herself, and her favourite colour is pink..and pink and purple

She said that she paint trees, apples and birds...so I considered this as abstract painting : title - Nature : media - poster colour on paper

Lil Brother joined later with his chinese watercolour brush...and the outcome is not bad for a two years old..

Post Exam Pain

People always says that success come with sacrifies and hardship...and here I am still feeling the pain, 'post exam pain' that is, its been 3 days now but the aura is still there.

I had a sleepless night before the big day, woke up at 3.30am and tried to sleep..and one hour later my eyes and mind were ready..slept again and finally my biological alarm clock could not stop ringing...so I prepared myself and left the house early at 6.15am straight to ERL station with the hope that I miss the first train, but the lady at the counter told me that I got one more minute..I walked slowly to the lift lobby and I thought that I might miss the train,...but the train arrived about one minute late..

Arrived at KL Sentral and headed to Golden Arches for breakfast meal, my bag was heavy with books and my contract document was on that small table, I was carefull not to spilled my hot tea and spoil my day...my heart was beating at an unusual speed that morning...finished my McMuffin burger and went to the ticket counter..

Arrived at Dewan Tan Sri Mahfoz Khalid at 7.45am..it was still dark and only 3 candidates were at the parking..it was cold and dark and it was not a good feeling..my tummy has started making so much noise, was so nervous...I sat in the middle of the grand staircase waiting for anybody that I know who might come early...one by one turn up with their heavy bag and trolley ..

By 8.30am many has congreggated infront of the hall and what we did was just talking and dreaming of the future and of coz people watch..we survey each people who passed by and make a prediction.. :-P..there was one guy who sit on the kerb with his head leaning on white circular column..he look sleepy with heavy eyes..must be a long night, some travel all the way from North, from the East for that six hours exam.

By 9.00am we started our speed writing competition..I hate to look at the clock but by 11am I asked for extra sheet of paper..I flipped the question paper again and again..and by 12.15noon I was still buying time..writing whatever that might help...If only they make it 4 hours instead of 3...hmmm..

We went to the cafe which is closed for business but sat there and ate corn bun with mineral water, could not do any revision anymore, we got only one and half hour beore the next paper..by 1.40pm I walked in and arranged my reference books and pat some minyak cap kapak on my head and neck..

And at 2pm the race started again..check this and that, tekan calculator berpuluh kali..and by 4.30pm I can feel that my body system has started to shut down where ulcer on my mouth has spread and my head was heavy and muscle on my neck has not been working properly...they announced the end of the day at 5pm..but I still jot down whatever on that answer paper and by then I could feel that my fine motor skills has lost its power and my Flexor Retinaculum was not working properly anymore...and at 5.30pm I finally submitted my paper for that day....what was the feeling..? relieved..maybe but not for long

We took some photos and went for a proper meal and a friend fetch me and by 7.30pm I already had fever, flu and cough..a complete set plus additional muscle sprain..

Hug the kids and wash myself, took 10ml of bena expectorant and paracetamol...and slammed on the mattress without saying thank you to hubby for taking care of the kids....

Woke up the next Sunday morning and still feeling dizzy and confused....

And until today I still got this 'post exam pain'....

Contemplating...

Its only few days away,5 days to be exact before the Big Day, but I'm not sure how am I feeling at the moment, anyone around me might noticed that I'm not actually burying my head in books...should I be worry with my own irresponsible act..?

I try to take it easy, not to burden my mind and end up with stress head and whatever anxiety before the exam..

I woke up this morning and went ahead with gardening and pruning my roses and bougainvilla and switched some small plants into a bigger pots...satisfied with my job...

I did not cook and did not do the laundry today..i spent the time with the kids on their ABC and colouring

Life is more than facing this stressful exam..its the ultimate for anybody in this industry, with passing rate only 30% , one can expect how hard it is...

I don't want to be caught up with that feeling of fear of that yellow paper and 6 stressful hour in the exam hall

There are still other choices out there for me..this might be the ultimate but not the only option....

MAS yang delay sokmo...

It feels like life now revolves around airport and running to gate for boarding..rushing for the train back to Putrajaya..and not forgetten switching bag for the next trip..and with that house chore became less prioritized...time were spend on the road ...and up there...

Went to Johor Bahru last Tuesday for official matters, left home ealy at 5.50am with both of them still sleeping in the car, no goodbye and kissess from them.

Boarded the plane at 7.20am, still sleepy and tired but tried to get rid of that tiredness by reading and reading Mas In flight for numerous time.

It was 40 minutes flight, smooth journey with just little bumpy whenever the plane cross a thick white cloud

View towards Johor Bahru, not long before landing

Another aerial view of Johor Bahru..or maybe Senai...

We arrived safely at Senai around 8.30am and went straight to JB for breakfast but managed to window shopping at Bonia Boutique..Extension of the airport has completed and now waiting for tenant to occupied, that means waiting at Senai Airport won't be boring anymore, no need to go to City Square anymore..

It was not a successful meeting but somebody had accomplished her mission that day..and went back to KL with brand new shoes..We got ample time due to flight delay..this is not the first time this month, it was supposed to be 4.25pm flight but delayed to 5.00pm..I got to catch the next flight to Alor Setar at 7.30pm the same day...
We boarded the plane and waiting for the engine to be started, captain informed us that delay due to the air-conditioning and it should be fine when they start the engine...ya right...By the way this is Dragon Air with the red dragon on its tail..

It was cloudy and bumpy...and the nice stewardess keep on giving us those salted peanuts..she gave us more than 10 packet each ..MH ..Malaysian Hospitality..

We arrived at KLIA around 6pm..instead of heading to Departure Hall, I sat at the same gate B07 waiting for the next flight to Alor Setar, still sleepy and tired...I walked slowly to Tag Heuer and Bently watch booth, and picked up a free copy of The Sun newspaper...

By 7pm the staff at gate B06 were calling all passenger to Alor Setar for boarding..it was supposed to be the same aircraft from JB at gate B07 going to Alor Setar, but due to some reason they switched plane, I walked in and waited at the seat looking at the aircraft been loaded with refreshment from LSG Sky Chefs lorry, luggage and bag were thrown in...I already called my mom and asked them to put aside some kuah pajeri nenas for me, I was imagining eating warm nice rice with pajeri, gulai ayam and daging goreng kicap...TING TOONG...!!Announcement were made..flight to Alor Setar delay AGAIN...!!!! Arggghhhh....

My mind were processing too much information at that time with my tired body waiting for a nice shower and bed (and of coz pajeri nenas)..made calls here and there..and decided to cancel my trip..managed to canceled and no need to pay for the changes of the schedule....I went up and down the airport to change the ticket ...tiring journey..

I asked the staff there about these usual delay, and they said that it is due to some factors:
- 'crew lambat'
- 'aircraft ada problem'
- 'crash landing' kat airport Alor Setar

Took the train to Putrajaya and had dinner with family with no pajeri nenas....what a day...
...FLIGHT DELAY 2 KALI....MISSED PAJERI NENAS...DINNER TAK SEDAP...TAPI...dapat kacang lebih and got to be with my kids

Orang Utan at Sepilok Rehabilitation Centre

Its been seven months working at this new office, its a combination of everything in one plate..small project with big headache,a lot of travelling and tiring body, expecting to see new place but leaving the kids at home...its a fusion of feeling..but I grab whatever come my way at this moment.

So during last visit to Sandakan, I took the time (without taking a shower :)to visit this one place in Sandakan- Sepilok Orang Utan Rehab Centre..not far from the airport..and the admission fee for local is only RM5 and foreigner is only RM30

They open for tour at 9am and feeding thime is at 10 sharp, coz these orang utan wear rolex and guess...:-))

Boboy's story...

Opps..this is not Boboy...

And here is Boboy...the cute orang utan..I wonder whether they used BPA free bottle or not..? :-))

There is information centre at the entrance, but shoes off please, you can kill the time by gaining some info before going into the jungle..

Nature conservation...some are extinct and endangered animals

Potraits of the jungle...

Aren't they cute..?

I sat on a timber steps and talked to one of the guide, they told me that some orang utan could not resist the smell from the cafe nearby and start looting..poor animal, and some find their way out of this rehab centre and lost into the unknown

Waiting for one hour for the gate to open was not an easy feeling especially when you have to rushed to the airport for 11.35am flight..I waited infront of the gate so that I could walk fast on the boardwalk..It only took 5 minutes from the gate to the observation deck, but its better to walk slowly and enjoy the nature around you and breath the fresh air and listen to the sound of jungle...

Tourist waiting for the orang utan to make an appreance..at almost 10am they came and swing and swing and show their antics....and eat banana and swing back to the jungle..

I was a little bit dissapointed because I don't have the opportunity to really explore and appreciate things around me, but it was a beautiful place to be where all things around you are green and when 10 o'clock sun piercing through the fresh green leaves , thats when you lost in the jungle...lost in a different world...I could not described the feeling, but its really something for those who loves nature, this is one of the place to be..

By 10.30 I was ready heading to the airport..all make up and touch up were done in the car...by the time the driver park the car at the departure, I finished my last stroke pf mascara...

Sabah is a beautiful place...land and sea...
Just after take off..what a view..unfortunately I only bring this handphone instead of a camera..
Till the next trip...

Little King

Hadif mean 'yang mempunyai matlamat'...and with that name and meaning he is a little King in the house with too many principles, demand and expectation.

Everything need to be his way and style.

He wake up at 7am and asked for 'nasi ayam kokok'..that means rice with chicken soup.

He wants 'milk susu'..which is powder milk..and need to be prepared infront of him even if its in the middle of the night....

No one can easily touch his plate, no adjustment on the meal..just let it slip or spilled on the table.

This little King is 2 years old today..and with that mark, I will expect more demand and rules from him...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY LITTLE BOY...

Sea creature from Sabah

I almost cancel this trip due to health condition, but with help from few pills with multiple size, I was up and ready to go the next day. It was the periodical inspection and everything was just the same except for extra headache...it last until few hours at the hotel room, had a hard time to close my eyes and wander in zzzland...I watched Interview with the Vampire for few minutes and realised that I was alone, so switched to something safer...but still could not sleep until 1 am.

At 5am I woke up and saw the light coming thru from the sheer curtain, it could not be that early, but the reality is lifes are ahead over there, human activities start earlier than my normal schedule...forced myself to clean up and headed to the cafe..it was closed for renovation, and breakfast was set up by the sea..nice view but the food just so-so..I just finished two piece of French Toast and tea and headed straight to my usual spot.

It was already 9pm by the time I arrived at the location, walked slowly on the slippery cement floor and choosed my route carefully as I always avoid that b**@ area..:-)

People said that art is the expression of life and here in this market, simple purple brinjal has been tied up and become and art stuff..brilliant..looks like a flower

I passed by few stalls and the smell of salted fish were too strong with variety of fish were on the table..saw this one thing that I've tried before in kota Kinabalu, local call this as 'latok'...I think they boil it and top with some air asam and enjoy it with rice and grilled fish
It looks like a plastic thing but crunchy and fresh and unique..that the beauty of this side of world..

And at the side of the table..they call this 'agar-agar'...same kind of thing

I proceed to the wet area and headed to the usual stall, familiar faces were there but no familiar sea creature that day, my hunt for RM5 per kilo crab stop there when all stalls just have small portion of small size crab..I went to the prawn section, they look tempting at a reasonable price, ...so the aircraft loading was reduced to few kilos due to the absence of my big and cheap crab..:-)) The Carb Lady (my own imaginary name for her) told me that I should come early, maybe around seven..

I walked around the Sandakan market looking for some fish head and saw few basket full of kerapu just been loaded..big and fresh..and ikan yu and some kind of big fish that I don't even know their names lying on the floor --headless--

After finished my 'shopping spree' I made another tour looking for something different and here they are, colourful fish on the table..fish that I saw from few snorkelling trips..how could they eat this..when I asked them about the menu, they said..'apa-apa pun boleh' with a laugh...

And to my horror...they also eat this sea shell...euwww..sorry for being like this, but they look so delicate and I think that they are supposed to be for display on the seabed...or maybe I don't really understand the culture and way of life here..
Exotic sea shell with big cuttle fish waiting for their master who loves exotic sea shell....I wonder how they feel in our mouth...?

I left the market with box of prawns, fish head and some cuttle fish, just a small box this time around and asked hotel staff to wrapped them properly.

By 10.30am I was ready at the airport waiting for MH2711...it was full with passenger for due to school holiday, not a smooth journey..it was a bumpy ride up there with the aircraft jerk upon crashing the thick white cloud and the journey continue for half and hour in a thick cloud..spooky view..I look out and it was all white and suddenly all images from Discovery Channel came flashing in my mind...keep on reminding myself that they have radar and what not and the fact that the pilot is a Muslim makes me feel better..and maybe safer...you know what I mean...

To cut the story short, my fish head landed safely on dining table as 'fish head curry' ....

Demam panas & asam pedas

I'm on emergency leave today, both of them are not feeling well, little princess is down with fever ..38 degree, and she is so weak.

We were ready for a visit to Dr.Halim's and suddenly she came to the bedroom asking for lip gloss and eyeliner..but she insisedt on MAC (of coz she don't know the brand , just the casing) and refused to used celak Mekah..:-)

Its good being at home even though tiring with two sick kids and house chore, cloths are piling up, flor that need to be clean and shiny before the King arrived..and some reading for the kids and some write up myself...but whatever it is being with them is the best thing..no phone calls from #$#$@#...no silly request from !#@$&&...and no BULLS&*t...hehehe

I cook asam pedas nyonya style today after thinking and salivating reading Kak naz's status on FB...no dried chilli, no buah keras..but still menjadi...ikan senangin sekor habis dimakan sorang -sorang...puas hati...

Simple things in life that make my day:

A smile from those kids

'how are you today ?' from hubby

Smell of grass and soil after the rain

Dew drops on hibiscus leaves

Rain drops on banana leaves

Sunshine thru the leaves after the rain

Tubes of colours on a palette

Have a great weekend everybody...and Happy Mothers Day to all with or without the little one

Venting out

I'm moving on, but I never give up...

I vent my frustatiion with the system in a different way

I choosed a different medium to expressed it

So that no one will get hurt

So that my kids are safe

So that I got my RM at the end of the month

But I still play the game
